The Galvanizer Zine
Through our Galvanizer Zine, a visionary fusion of art and policy spearheaded by our Changemakers, we wield art to tell stories, raise awareness, and inspire action. Each Galvanizer zine has focused on a different issue area, while emphasizing the intersections of reproductive rights with other issues of importance to gender equity.
Since its inception in 2018, our Galvanizer has evolved across 11 dynamic issues, disseminating over 4,000 copies to amplify the dialogue on the intersections of many issues. These zines are being used today to amplify the important issues facing their communities, including: criminal justice reform, racial justice, mental health, abortion/reproductive rights, menstrual hygiene, and civic engagement. These student zines have also become staples to many professors and health centers on campus in aiding in providing vital information about campus/student life and local municipalities.
